Albanac
Artist book 'in one copy' for Garage Museum archive
Albanac is a collection of short works by the artist Anastasia Albokrinova, including her texts, visual, and mixed media pieces. Albanac is composed as a lightbox book, where pages of each section are kept in a separate case and can be accessed and displayed on the light panel in any order and combinations.

Since Albanac is an artist's book, its entire content is somewhat personal. But it is also universal, with many of its stories dedicated to the love felt toward one's native land (the "homeland" in the narrowest and widest meanings of the word). The author loves her homeland, but this love is beyond the realm of facts. It reigns in the world of heavenly gradients and in the vast expanses of memory, among the mythical inhabitants of native lands and in the holes between the letters.

In general, this book is personal, patriotic, funny, and transcendental. It consist of five chapters: 'Indestructible Kingdoms / An Incomplete Catalogue of Weeds', 'The Zhiguli Gradient', ' New Russian Heraldry', ' To Read Endlessly' and Prozac.
