VolgaFest is a festival on the waterfront of the Volga river in Samara. It takes place on a thin line between the city and the river and year after year explores ways of engaging and representing actual cultural practices in this beautiful scenery. Through various media (music, theatre, public art, education) it creates short- and long-term changes in the urban and cultural fabric of the region.
As an art-director of VolgaFest (since 2017) am responsible for the concept and branding of the festival, as well as collaborations with artists and architects. In different years I've been involved in creating master-plan and small architecture, composing the educational program, briefing and judging the public-art competition and whatever not.
VolgaFest is one of the favourite festivals of Samara region, it takes place every year in the beginning or in the end of the beach season and inspires citizens and guests of the city to appreciate the Volga even more.
